‘Team Pharmars’ -the Best team at the 4th Blockchain Olympiad

The Blockchain team ‘Team Pharmars’ of the Institute of Information Technology of Dhaka University won the ‘Professor Jamilur Reza Chowdhury’ championship award in the 4th Blockchain Olympiad Bangladesh 2023.

Out of the 118 participating teams, the 'Team Pharmars' won the best prize out of the 40 teams that made it to the final stage of the competition. The members of the team were: Jitesh Sureka, Mustahid Hasan, Ahmed Adnan, Samudra Gupta, Tasmia Zereen and Shafiq Us Saleheen. As the winning team, they received a dummy check of Tk. 2 lakh.

The Team Apocalypse, the team of United International University-UIU and North South University won a silver prize worth one lakh taka by participating in the competition; the ‘Team Hexa’ team of Islamic University of Technology won the bronze prize worth Tk. 50,000 and ‘GreyDevs team of Sylhet Cadet College won the best prototype prize worth Tk. 50,000.

The silver-winning Team Apocalypse members are – Sadia Ahmed, SM Jishanul Islam, Sahid Hossain Mustakim from UIU and Aadiba Tasneem Anam from NSU. Bronze winners Team Hexa team members are, Ishrar Tanzim, Mahmuda Naeem, Ahsan Habib Tanmoy, Priyanka Maheru, Fariba Tabassum Dola and Zubair Mahmud Apan.

Also in the GrayDaves team that won the Best Prototype award are Shahriar Rahman Nahid, Samiul Islam, Ghagra Salem Debnath and K.M Mynurdoza,

The ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak handed over the prizes to the winners at the Krishibid Institute Auditorium in the capital's Farmgate on Tuesday evening.

Blockchain Olympiad Bangladesh (BCOLBD) convenor Professor Dr. Habibullah Nyamul Karim delivered the welcome address in the program

Professor Dr. Kaykobad presided over the ceremony while the ICT Secretary Md. Shamsul Arefin, Bangladesh Computer Council Executive Director Mr. Ranajit Kumar and South Asia International Finance Corporation Senior Investment Officer Mr. Ifrad Chowdhury also spoke.
